Grassroots Activism has moved to the internet for organization and support. Currently, the grassroots conservative movement is scattered between multiple forums, meet-up sites, and email list-hosts, the result of which has been the development of several top down organizational hierarchies attempting to control the grassroots effort. BackyardPolitics.org is a networking tool that brings together the benefits of messaging, event planning, forum, and groups to allow individuals to quickly get plugged into a Conservative group near them and start making a difference in politics at every level: local to national. As the network grows, so will our ability to help you!
Soon we will be launching organize.backyardpolitics.org to put in your hands tools and resources to support you in your grassroots activism. Need bumper stickers? Pamphlets? Slim-Jims? No problem, we'll find ways to get you more for less money. How do you start a PAC? Get radio time? a TV spot? We'll have sections on that too. What are the best strategies for spreading the word? How do you virally market a candidate? These are all aspects of campaigning that we'll explore in depth to provide you with the ability to get your candidate into office.
We're not just for you! We're here to support Conservative Candidates as well.
Many great candidates fail not because their ideas aren't great, but because nobody gets the word out. Part of advertising your candidate is extensive volunteer leg-work, but good funding goes a long way towards getting the message out too. We are in the process of setting up a Political Action Committee (PAC) with the exclusive purpose of funding candidates that might not otherwise recieve the money they need to win. When it's ready, you will be able to donate at pac.backyardpolitics.org. There will also be a form page for candidates or individuals to request funds. Whether sent directly to a campaign, or spent on private advertising for a campaign, all of this money will be used to elect strong liberty-minded candidates into office. But our support of strong candidates does not stop there. Any candidate that has come to our attention that we believe will defend Conservatism in America will receive a profile page at candidates.backyardpolitics.org. Each profile will feature a forum in which to discuss the candidate, a blog for the candidate, and an overview sheet of what BackyardPolitics.org thinks and pages for a candidates personal bio and stance on the issues. |
